What with both my parents working, from when I was younger, I was left with a babysitter. Then, when little David popped out of my mum, when I was 14 years of age, they had me baby-sit for my young brother while they carried on working. Now 18 years of age, I occasionally baby-sit for local parents, which gets me extra money and something else...!

'Ring, ring,' went my mobile phone. Picking it up I said: "Hello, Jamie speaking." The man at the other end was enquiring about my babysitting service. Arriving some 5 minutes early; always a good impression, Fred, who's supposed to be watching his young brother, let me in. "Sorry to spring this on you at such short notice, Jamie," he flustered.

"That's okay, I understand," I said.

"Anyway, he's playing in his pen for now so he shouldn't be any trouble. I'm relying on you to look after him for me. I've heard that you're like, the neighbourhood babysitter, so you can handle it, right?" Fred concernedly asked.
