Tony090909 Interview

The singularly-named Tony090909 has been publishing at ES since January 2010... that's a little over year since we thrilled to "Cruise Control," the tale of a couple who are away from home and prying eyes, and taking the opportunity to widen their sexual horizons. "Looking back," Tony090909 says, "there are definitely things about it which could be edited/improved, but basically it's OK."

Since that time, he has averaged a story a month, the most recent being the very memorable "Strictly Cum Dancing" - of which he says, "I wanted to put my wife in a perfectly respectable scenario, but nevertheless one where she was in close physical contact with another man. Dancing seemed the obvious answer and I decided to make use of the popularity of the TV show Strictly Come Dancing (known as Dancing with the Stars in the USA)."

Q. Now, is there anything you'd like to tell us about yourself?

I'm 54 and my wife is 49. We've been happily married for nearly 30 years, though like any couple we have our ups and downs. I'm self-employed and we live in the North of England.

Q. How and when did you begin writing erotic stories?

Like most people I sometimes daydream about sexual fantasies. I wrote a few of them down, then about four years ago I introduced some of them into our lovemaking. It worked very well for both of us - perhaps too well, because we rather overdid it and haven't used them as much recently. It seemed a natural next step to publish some of them and see what other people thought.

Q. Have you published anywhere other than ES.com?

Yes I've published some stuff on Literotica.

Q. What is it about writing erotica that you most enjoy?

It gives you an outlet for thoughts which might otherwise stay hidden, and putting things down in writing does focus your mind and make you think about what turns you on - so you do learn a bit about yourself.

It also helps keep your libido ticking over. When you've been married a long time you can either:-

Carry on doing the same things over and over, get bored and let your sex life dwindle.
Join the adultery stakes.
Introduce more variety into your lovemaking.

Somewhat to my surprise and despite our ages I still find my wife very attractive, so the third option is of much more interest to me.

Q: What is your favorite category to write in, and why?

My favorite subject is wife swapping/sharing, so most of my stories go into the Swinging or Slut Wife categories.

Funnily enough I'm not overkeen on the term slut wife - it has too many negative connotations for me. Certainly I'm not a fan of stories where the wife goes out in an outfit that has Fuck Me written all over it and you then get a relentlessly graphic description of how she was fucked senseless.

My preference is for stories which involve a shy, conservative wife who almost won't admit to herself that she would like to widen her sexual experience. I like the stories to be reasonably believeable; I've nothing against wild fantasies, but I think it is much more erotic if you read a story and feel that it could really have happened.

My story Touched on the Train was inspired by reading a story which I was really getting into until the writer had the man remove several items of a woman's clothes on a crowded train without anyone noticing and that didn't seem believeable.

That story and several others I've written are from the woman's viewpoint and it's the woman's reaction that I'm most interested in.

One other thing is that my stories tend to be about 4-6000 words; I've nothing against longer or multi-part stories, but they don't seem to come naturally to me.

Q. How much of yourself do you include in your stories?

A lot of what I write is based on myself and my wife, but some character traits I describe are very fictional.

Q. Is there anything that happens in your stories that you would really like to try in "real life", but haven't yet been able to?

Well anyone who reads my profile will know that my main fantasy is to watch my wife have sex with another man.

Q. Does your partner or any of your friends know that you write? What do they think?

No-one knows that I write erotic stories. I felt that would give me more freedom to write exactly what suited me. My wife would certainly approve of some of the stories, but probably not all of them.

Q. What, if any, difficulties do you face when writing - erotic writing difficulties and general writing difficulties? And how do you overcome them?

I suspect the only real problem I face is a common one - I can only write if there's a situation or scenario which excites or inspires me and that's not something you can just come up with on demand.

Q. How about in more general terms - how do you feel about the "outside world's perception of erotic writing?

It's not really something I think or worry about. In an ideal world I suppose we would all be much more honest and up-front about sex, but it's such an emotional, personal subject that it can be difficult for people to treat erotic writing as simply another form of writing.

Q. One thing that I love about ES is that you very quickly build up a community of fans, who enjoy writing to and hearing from their favorite authors. Do you have any favorite topics that have surfaced in these "conversations"?

I have corresponded with several people and like any author I enjoy receiving feedback. I try to respond to stories by other writers, but coming up with constructive criticism can be difficult.

My main correspondents tend to be people of a similar age and interests to myself. In my profile I mention my wife's fantasy of being taken at work by a colleague who pushes her against a filing cabinet, pulls her knickers to one side (not off) and fucks her standing up. One unexpected result was several woman writing to say there is something deliciously naughty about the idea of your knickers being pulled to one side while a man enters your normally faithful pussy and then when he's finished your knickers are simply pulled back into place.

Q. How do you feel when you receive negative comments or very low votes from readers?

I've got mixed feelings about that. Of course I prefer praise and high scores, but erotic stories are a bit unusual. If your story doesn't touch on the particular interests/fantasies of someone, then even if it is very well written, it's not going to do much for them. So a low score may simply mean that it wasn't in line with their interests.

Q. And do you read, and respond to, other writers on the site? Who are your favorites?

I do read stories by several other authors, though it would be unfair to single out any one writer on ES.

I have to say that my favorite erotic writer is a guy called Quinn Rogan who sadly hasn't written anything for a while now and has never posted on ES. It's a big help that he's a very similar age and outlook to me, but I do find his stories very vivid and easy to read.

Q. Do you remember the first pornography you ever saw?

I think I was about twelve or thirteen when I saw some girlie magazines belonging to my older brother. They were actually rather tame and had girl-next-door types in topless poses and teasingly close to displaying rather more.

Q. What's the kinkiest thing you have ever done?

Nothing too major I'm afraid. My wife and I have had sex in some public places and have had quite a bit of fun with some role playing but nothing tremendously daring.

Q. Do you have any fantasies that you would like to fulfill?

Well that brings me back to my (unrealised) fantasy of watching my wife being fucked by another man.

After we had been married a while I very cautiously introduced the idea of me watching her have sex with someone else. She's rather conservative, so I wasn't surprised that she was shocked and said no. Then after a while there was a stage when she said she might if all the circumstances were right etc. More recently she has gone back to saying no, but she does know that it is a very potent fantasy for me and it doesn't upset her in the way that I thought it might.

I do sometimes wonder what I would do if the ideal situation arose and my wife said she was willing - would I really go for it? I think I would, after all life isn't a dress rehearsal and there's no point looking back and thinking about what might have been.

Q. What is a major turn on for you during sex?

An enthusiastic partner.

Q. How about a major turn off?

Silent or almost silent sex. I don't mean that it should be noisy in a false or theatrical way, but nothing much except for the odd grunt is a turn off. I do like a bit of sexy chat and it might make some more extrovert couples laugh, but it took my wife and I quite a few years to discover the pleasure of a bit of dirty talk. I remember thinking I was taking a bit of a risk telling her what a lovely cunt she had. Later I asked her if she had been offended and she said no, just the opposite, it had turned her on.

Q: How do you feel about same sex relationships, both personally and as a writer?

I guess I'm fairly neutral. I can't imagine having any sort of physical relationship with a man and I know watching two women making out is a big turn-on for many men, but it doesn't do quite as much for me. Certainly I've never fantasised about watching my wife with another woman, though I have to be honest and say that if she suggested it I would happily watch!

Q. Do you explore these feelings, positive and negative in your stories?

No not really. I've never felt any need to introduce them.

Q. How long does it take for you to write a story? Could you talk us through the process?

Just occasionally I've done a story very quickly in a couple of hours. A more normal scenario is that I do most of it fairly quickly and then finishing it off takes several more goes. Ideally once it's "finished" I then like to leave it and come back in a week or two (hopefully with fresh eyes) and see if it still makes sense.

I've got several part-finished stories where I've got stuck or lost interest and it's likely that they will never be finished. I've also got a list of possible story ideas; some of them are almost certainly non-starters, but one or two might get used at some stage

Q. What do you think is the best story you have published here?

If I was really pushed I would have to choose Forfeits at the Restaurant. The other couple involved in this story are very much real people and with hindsight I think a swinging relationship might well have been possible. It was actually very enjoyable to take the true opening scenario and develop a daydream which had occasionally flitted in and out of my mind and turn it into a fully fledged story.

The fact that the start of it is true helps to give it a grounding in reality and I like to think that although the scenario is hardly wildly original it does have a bit of a twist to it.

Q. Is there anything else you would like to say to the readers of this interview and your fans? Now is your chance...

I'm grateful to all the people who've read my stories, but special thanks are due to the ones who have commented on them.

Q. Finally, do you have a website or a blog, where your fans can visit and maybe learn more about you?

No, I'm afraid not.

Please read Tony090909's stories.
