Q. How long have you been publishing at ES?

A. About a year and a half ago. I published stories on the German site first and eventually I started publishing my English ones as well. I like the feedback I get on ES, it's usually rather helpful.

Q. What and when was the first story you published here?

A. *Goes to check*. That was 'Willow Switch' in November, 2011. A story I wrote some time ago, after a vacation with my husband in southwestern France.

Q. How many stories have you published since then?

A. Seven. Some of them are rather short. I have a few I still want to publish, but they're somewhat long-ish and I can't seem to find the time to properly format them.

Q. What was your most recent one?

A. 'Rubbermaid'. It was conceived, although not written, during an evening in which my dear husband and Master tortured me with rubber bands. Damn, those things hurt!

Q. To begin with, what can you tell us about yourself? Three or four points that will help your fans get to know you a little better

A. I take almost nothing serious, least of all myself. I think that's one of my biggest faults and at the same time one of my best qualities. I'm rather shy when I meet new people, but once I feel comfortable around them there's no stopping me anymore. I think I could be defined as a liberal treehugger (liberal in the sense of 'live and let live') and I'm a family person, especially since I've given birth to three wonderful girls.

Q. One thing that I love about ES is that you very quickly build up a community of fans, who enjoy writing to and hearing from their favorite authors. Have you ever gone further and started IMing, texting or even met any of your fans?

A. I'm exchanging Emails with a few readers. But I never chat due to lack of time and meetings are a bit difficult since most of my readers here on ES live far, far away.

Q. How do you feel when you receive negative comments or very low votes from readers?

A. I don't have very much of a problem with low votes if they go along with a comment such as "that was terribly boring" or something along those lines. Then it was just the wrong story for that person. However, I do think that giving a very low vote without an explanation is a little bit, well, unfair.

Q. What do you think is the best story you have published here?

A. I like 'Feels like Heaven' a lot. Probably because it evokes wonderful memories. Then again, I also like the brutal shortness of 'Kitchen Duty'.

Q. Is there anything else you would like to say to the readers of this interview and your fans? Now is your chance...

A. If you read a story and you liked it, tell the author. If you read a story and you didn't like it, tell them what they could do better or what irked you. It's not because writers are desperate attention whores (of course most of them, including me, are!) but because it motivates us to write more and even better. So, giving feedback is a classic win-win situation.
