Chapter 6

As they drove across the desert floor, the man held a one-way conversation with his gagged captive. "You know, I bet Danny would love to see you like this" he said, starting the conversation. Brenda was instantly alert! Danny was an ex-boyfriend, how could this man know about Him?

Brenda had dated Danny while a freshman in college, four years ago! Just what was going on? She asked herself. Before her frazzled mind could make any sense of the comment, the man continued. "Yeah, I bet old Dan would just go nuts seeing you all naked and tied up like this" he said. Danny, while being an all right guy to date, had been filled with youthful exuberance, and an overflowing sexual urge. Brenda had fought off his advances on more than one occasion. One time, he had even tried to tie her hands behind her with the string he had playfully removed from one of her sneakers. It was shortly after this incident that she had broken up with him. Secretly, the young blonde had regretted fighting off the shoestring, she wasn't sure just why, but the idea had nested itself in a dark corner of her psyche, where it had been all but forgotten, until now. ‘Was this man sent by Danny to capture her?' she thought to herself. She quickly dismissed this idea, Danny, for all his bravado, was a wuss, not one prone to resorting to anything like this.
