From the way people were bundled up in coats and sweaters as they walked along the street below, it was obviously a little cold outside. The beautiful young woman leaned back into her apartment, shutting her little fire escape window, and rubbed her slender arms with her hands. Oh, how she hated goosebumps! San Francisco was always cold in mid February, and for a brief moment Wendy was tempted to surrender to the cold and put on her old Cal State San Francisco sweat shirt.
