The Pool

With the night stars shining above, we make our way to the pool in your backyard. You run over and turn on the pool light causing the water to glow in the night. I watch as you run over to the pool and quickly jump in. The water feels warm to you compared to the cool night air. I slowly climb into the water while watching you swim. The water is sliding around your naked body in a warm embrace.

I begin to start swimming around to loosen up tired muscles and cool off. You swim over to me for what I think is a kiss, but instead, get dunked under the water. You laugh and desperately start swimming away from my grasp. I swim back to the surface and quickly get my breath and then begin my pursuit. You have headed back to the shallow end where you have surer footing. I slowly swim towards you and then start walking when i get towards the shallow end.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," you say with big sad eyes.

I quickly strike out and grab one of your arms and pull you towards me.

"NO!!!!" you squeel as I grab hold of you and pick you up and hold you.

"Get your breath," I warn as I lift you up, then dunk you down under the water and let you go. You swim back up to the surface and start ...
