Sweet Kathleen, Part Two

My boots echoed between the garages of the condo complex. Walking toward the open door now, I could feel my pulse quicken, the persistent throb in my jeans more pronounced with every step. I entered the garage, seeing the open door to the patio beyond. I hit the button to close the garage door. Across the patio, I could see the sliding door open a few inches, just like I'd asked.
