Tanya reached the restaurant door and as usual took a deep calming breath before opening the door and entering proud and tall.

Jeremy, the Maitre de, noticed Tanya immediately, he always noticed Tanya. Surprisingly this was not only due to her attractiveness but because he had noticed with interested the different way Mr Torrance treated her. It was clear she was having a very definite affect on him. Jeremy had watched Mr Tony Torrance since he was 10 from that snotty kid to a hell raising teenager and now to the man he has become. Oh Jeremy had no doubt that that was what was happening, oh sure he could see the sexual tension also but he knew this would be an advantage to their relationship. How was Tanya different? Jeremy couldn't really put his finger on one thing, Tony paid more attention to her, they laughed more than he had seen with other women and she was so real, the other women Tony had dated were all well to do debutante types with no brain and no yearning for one. He couldn't even imagine any of them getting passionate about anything, except for maybe a new Gucci handbag! His thoughts made him smile and Tanya asked what made him laugh. He brushed off her poignant question by saying it was something his small son had said to him that afternoon and he cut the conversation there by telling her Tony was waiting upstairs. Tanya almost ran up them.
