Mark hated stocking the store with a passion. Working only nights meant he was always left with the day crews mess on top of the regular closing duties. Fortunately he was blessed with a crew that let him work the counter while they stayed busy in the aisles. He had worked auto parts long enough that he could take care of any situation that arose regarding customers and the nights went faster that way.

Tonights truck had been huge, 15 pallets of merchandise that had to all be up before anyone left that night. He had resigned himself to another long night and sighed. "Whats the matter" a voice asked from behind the wall of belts he was looking at. The voice belonged to Tara, a new girl he had only begun working with a week ago. "Same shit different day", Mark replied, "I guess I need some coffee, or maybe some blood pressure, this stuff is hard on an old man". "You're not old your just bored" Tara said laughing," you need some excitement". Mark just smiled and walked back to get the nights cash drawer.

As he was counting out the nights cash he realized how right she was. Since his divorce all Mark had done was work at the store or work on his "baby". Marks baby was a 1970 Dodge Super Bee he had been restoring off and on for almost a decade. He had managed o keep the car through his ex wifes massive debt collecting sprees, bounced checks, and her leaving with the deposit on their apartment and 2 days for him to get out. He had really thrown himself back into the project out of a need for transportation and was driving it in primer. ...
