Loser No Longer: The Beginning

Mark couldn't wait for the semester to end. He was tired and he was lonely. All he was looking forward to was getting out and going home.

It wasn't that he didn't like college. Far from it. It was far better than high school. He had a few friends and liked his classes. But now in the middle of his third year, he was still without a girlfriend -- without even a hint of a girlfriend. He couldn't even talk about it to anyone because they teased him about it. This last semester had been particularly rough.

The door to the classroom opened, interrupting his thoughts. As if on cue, *she* walked in. He was immediate hit by that odd burning in his stomach of overwhelming desire and powerful misery.

Traci was a goddess in his eyes. A tall, hour-glass figured redhead who could melt his heart with a single smile. He'd had a crush on her since they'd first met -- on the same dormitory floor freshman year. She'd been nice to him for a while, nice enough for him to get a big crush.
