It was the morning after the thunderstorm, after the blackout, and after Andy. I rolled over, somewhere in the middle of wake and sleep. She was gone, was she even here in the first place? I awake that instant with a start. Was she just a dream, did I imagine it all. The blinking clock confirmed that it all wasn't just a dream. I then noticed, on the pillow where she had slept, there was a note. It read, "Anne, I have to take care of a few things. I promise I'll be back." Hope sprang up in me. I don't know what started last night, all I know was that I needed her back, I needed to see her again. She ignited something in me I didn't know existed. I think I was falling for her, but that's something I wasn't ready to admit.

"Fuck!" I yelled as I looked at my watch and realized I still had to go to work. How could I go to work without knowing when she'd be back? I looked at the note again, this time I noticed writing on the back. It was her number. I couldn't get out of work; I need to pay my bills. I decided to give her a call before I headed out the door. I couldn't wait to see her. Quickly I got ready for work I showered and dressed. I decided to dress down today. I slipped on a nice pair of light blue jeans, my black boots, and a black sweater t-shirt. Then when I thought I was ready I took a deep breath and dialed her number.

It rang twice before she picked up. "Andy, hi...ummm...I've got to go to work. But, feel free to still come over I'll get off as soon as I can and get back to you. I need to see you again. There's an extra ...
