The game was just ending. It was our final regular season game...and what a game! We had one loss during the regular season and so did the Wildcats. The game had gone into overtime and I had just sunk a buzzer-beater three pointer to win the game by a solo point. We had been down two points with 17 seconds left. I wasn't known as a three- point shooter. With my height, I was an inside player. That's probably why they left me wide open outside the three-point arc. Coach had set up a special play, but they had it well defended and we were forced to go impromptu with a few seconds left...anyway, it went in!

I was being mauled by cheerleaders, teammates and fans. It was pandemonium on the floor. I was savoring every moment of it. It had been a long hard season. I had sprained my ankle in the third game and was in and out of the lineup all season as the injury just wouldn't go away. It was my senior year of college ball and I had planned to have a huge season...well it hadn't worked that way. My ankle injury just kept me from performing the way that I knew that I could. It was small college, so red-shirting wasn't really a viable option. Besides, I was on pace to graduate in four years and I was ready to begin to make my place in the world of business. I was a finance and accounting major.
