Adrian slammed the front door and shook himself off. It was pouring down with rain and hail outside.

‘Bloody winter weather' Adrian complained. As he dropped his keys on the little table in the hall and sauntered towards his bedroom door.

Yawning as he reached for the door handle, he stopped suddenly as he remembered about the night of intense passion he had shared with Emily, his girlfriend, the evening before.

Emily's birthday was last week and so Adrian had planned a romantic evening for the two of them. Emily had looked so beautiful that night. Her short, chestnut brown hair, and the glint in her azure eyes that went beautifully with the diamond necklace he bought her.

Adrian felt heat rising in his groin. He sighed and opened his bedroom door.

He looked at his bed. He stared in disbelief at the duvet strewn across the bed, the pillows on the floor and silk ties still hanging from the bedstead. He turned to his bedside table, vodka bottle and dirty glasses just left there. And the stereo was still on.

Adrian couldn't believe that Emily would leave his room in such a state.
