The Love Potion - Part 10

Mark Livingston, Amber Rosalini's fiancé was on assignment in Washington, D.C. Amber, the head of the English Department at the university was extremely busy with the new Fall Semester. Mark had been gone a week and Amber missed him very much. Mark had always taken the vial of love potion on trips but this time, he asked Amber to keep the vial of love potion while he was away. Amber wasn't sure why Mark suggested this but she consented. When Mark first informed Amber about the properties of the love potion, she was immediately intrigued with the concoction. Amber thought that perhaps this was the reason Mark asked her to keep the vial of love potion while he was away. As a side note, Amber even advised Mark that he could use the potion anytime he felt compelled to do so, as long as it did not impair their relationship. For Mark to give Amber the potion was a powerful demonstration of his commitment to her. **** Amber got home around 6:00 p.m. and kicked off her shoes. She was extremely tired and decided that she would have a drink, then take a refreshing shower. She walked to the kitchen and put three ice cubes in a glass. She went to her liquor cabinet, poured herself a scotch on the rocks and walked back to her living room. She put her feet on the coffee table and using the TV remote, turned on the television to CNN. She gratefully sipped the scotch and enjoyed the warm feeling it gave her as the golden liquid ...
