From the first moment Norma met Peter Willoughby, the new proprietor of Sungoren-the town's only workable plantation, she was extremely attracted to him, and he was the type. Tall, blue eyes, tan, golden haired, broad shouldered, built...well you get the idea, he was beautiful. She could hardly keep herself from responding, and honestly she had no qualms in letting her eyes linger on his sculpted lips a while or picturing him with no shirt working his new fields. She knew of course a multi-billion dollar business genius would never go for someone as plain, frumpy and unexciting as her, but that made no difference at all it was like drooling over men in the movies, sure you'll never get them but he was hot enough to just stare at. Thanks to her brother's impulsive purchase of a computerized printing program that cost almost an entire year of profit just to set up in their ancient printing press floors she had to get some new cash quick or go under. Even if it meant getting it from a snobby New Yorker. She told him about the paper's legacy and the respect it's name, and as a last grab, her family name commanded in the town. She even offered a month free if he made a decision before she left.
