Sailboats lined the docks. Speedboats zipped across the water at every angle. Swimmers frolicked in shallow waters. On the shore, among the mass of sailors, sea-lovers and sunbathers lay Mara, basking in the warm sun of Barbados.

She was here for Barbados' annual Sailing Festival. It was an event where the locals and foreigners from all over the globe shared in a celebration of sailing. It had everything from boat races to treasure hunts, to formal soirees all crammed into a four-day event.

Mara was there on the behalf of her company. She ran, next to her husband and another partner, a large Yachting company in Florida and for the past six years, since she got into the business, she was there with her husband.
