I was actually disappointed when I finally woke up in the morning. Even the digging dream I woke up from was fun, knowing I was sharing it with Arturo. I dug trenches spelling the word "HEY" in the hill in front of me, and a moment later the robot beside me responded with "COOL!" We synchronized our digging until we were dragged out of dreamland by the clock radio.

I kept my eyes shut, reluctant to get up. All I had look forward to was another day of office slavery. I was beginning to think of the dreams as my reward for a long day of mindless drudgery. Especially now that I knew I could bring a friend along.

Well, I did have one thing to look forward to. I was lying between Arturo and the alarm, as usual. If I pretended to still be asleep, or just too lazy to move--

Sure enough, after several seconds of loud Spanish music, Arturo rolled onto me and reached over to switch off the alarm. Only then did I open my eyes.

"Morning," he said groggily, still lying on top of me as though it was too much effort to roll off.
