From the day I had given myself willingly to Dave, I knew our relationship was something special... We could tell what each other was thinking, finish each other's sentences... and best yet we were so much deeper than just being in love... we were soulmates.

Just a few months into our relationship becoming intimate, he surprised me by giving me his class ring... a temporary ring for sure, in place of the true engagement ring he hoped to buy later on. I was so shocked, but knew he was the one for me. We agreed that we would schedule the wedding for the fall after he graduated, to make sure our family started out with him in a job and not being distracted from studies... at least not any more than he was now!

Meanwhile, I concentrated on my studies as best I could, but also got things going with getting rounded up for our wedding... the hall, the pastor, the chapel, the flowers, my dress... My dress! I made the mistake of inviting both my sisters and several friends over to help choose the dress... I knew which one I wanted, but they all had their different takes on what I should wear... and the styles they chose varied so much! The dress I wanted was the first one I tried on, and after three hours of trying things on for them, I said "Enough is enough! I've made up my mind and that's it!"
