The doors to the elevator opened, she stepped in and I followed. Not a word was spoken. The entire ride up was in silence. The entire ride up, we never broke eye contact. I don't think either of us blinked.

The doors opened, she stepped out of the elevator and I followed. We walked towards her room. Still, total silence. She slid the plastic key card in the slot and the green light illuminated. I pushed the door open, she entered and I followed.

She turned and shut the door. "Listen" I began to say. She turned back towards me just as I finished the word and kissed me on the lips.
