The clock read 3:18 am. It took a tenth of a second to realize where I was and what had happened. She was sleeping soundly right next to me. She looked so peaceful. Her arm was draped over my chest. I knew I had to leave, but I did not want to awake her. Gently, I moved her arm off me, she sighed and rolled over. I got out of bed, went to the bathroom and got dressed.
