Judy Blue Eyes

The flight did not look too crowded and I was not looking forward to this one, as thunderstorms ripped through the South. What made that worse, was the fact that it was a small commuter flight, so the plane was small and cramped too. I found my seat all the way at the back of the plane, and settled in. I started to read until an angry voice informed me that I was sitting in her seat. I looked up into the biggest blue eyes that I had ever seen. I was hooked, right there.

I knew I had the right seat, but I was not going to argue. I apologized, and moved over to the window. Unfortunately, she kept on with the seat complaint. “ I get so tired of this,” she said.

I took a deep breath, and inhaled her scent. What a shame, I thought. This was not going to be a pleasant encounter. She had red hair and wore a long flowing dress that looked comfortable, yet hid her body. She looked to be in her middle to late 40’s, and she looked good ! I would have guessed her to be a large, solid woman. It was quite a package, and , being hopelessly hooked, I pressed on.

“ Look, I’m really sorry.” I said. She made no attempt at a reply. “ It’s a three hour flight, and I would like to make this pleasant, how can I make it up to you ?” Still a frosty glare., so I kept at her “ I would wager that before this flight is through, you will be laughing, ...
