Several weeks had passed since my last encounter, and while I will admit that I was seriously checking out all the women in the common areas of the building trying to figure out who I had put the wood to that bizarre night, I heeded Bonnie's advice and didn't go to any extraordinary measures. The rent had come due again, and while I had in a strange way, enjoyed my encounters with Bonnie and her friend, I decided that it was getting too weird. I went to Bonnie's apartment to try and make some alternate arrangements to pay my dues. Apparently, Bonnie had other ideas.

"Come in, Sweetie" said Bonnie cheerfully opening her door, "I've been expecting you. You know your rent is past due again."

"I know Bon, but I finished a job a couple of days ago, and I should be getting the check next week. Can we hold off that long?"

"Oh, I'm afraid not," she said in mock disappointment, "but I'm sure we can work something else out. You're so good at working off your debts."
