Sunlight streaming through my window slowly awakens me and I yawn loudly, my body writhing against the sheets in a long, sensuous stretch. Slipping from my bed, I quickly shower and get dressed, looking forward to my first day at my new job.

Arriving at the office, my good mood slips a little as I see the mountain of paperwork and messages already awaiting me but I quickly settle into a routine and most of the morning just slips away. A soft knock on my door interrupts me and I look up as my secretary peeks around the corner of the doorframe. "Do you want lunch ordered in or will you be going out today?"

Glancing at the clock, I'm surprised to see it's nearly noon and I lean back in my chair to stretch my stiff shoulders. "I think I'll go out for lunch. I saw a nice park on the way here and it's too nice a day to be cooped up inside."

"All right. Enjoy your lunch and I'll see you this afternoon."

Gathering up my purse and a light jacket, I leave the office and grab a salad from the cafe on the corner before heading to the park I had passed on my way to work this morning.
