Wendy slipped the key card into the lock then opened the door when the light blinked green. As she stepped into the room, Vincent's scent, his cologne, filled her nose. She enjoyed the smell and didn't realize how much she missed it when they were apart for long times. After a few surprise trips to the cities he was working in, Vincent had started a habit of getting two key cards and leaving one for Wendy at the front desk. More often than not she didn't get a chance to use it, but when their schedules matched up or she had time between cities herself, she liked the idea of being able to surprise him rather than have it all planned out.

This was one of those times. She had actually talked to him about an hour before, during their 'I miss you and just checking' in conversation. She didn't tell him that she was in the area, or that she would be stopping by. He had told her he was doing a working dinner, taking some clients out to get their business, which is why he had cut the conversation short. His working dinners were always at least two hours long so she knew she had plenty of time to get into his room and relax before he joined her.

As she slipped her legs into the steamy bubble bath, she thought about seeing her lover again and about feeling his hands on her body. The soapy water slipped over her, relaxing her muscles.
