As summer hit, I got a job at the big hardware store in town. It was about a 20 minute walk and I would leave home about 6:30 AM to get to work by 7:00. My friend Gary was playing on the college JV baseball team, and he was working in the afternoons at his uncle's deli, so we didn't really get to hang out til the evening hours.
