I was not expecting anyone at the door that afternoon when the doorbell rang. I answered the door.

"Hello Mrs Marsh" said the young man standing there "Is Emma in?"

Emma is my daughter, she had come home from college a few weeks previously and subsequently gone on holiday with here old friends. "I'm sorry I said Emma is on holiday is there anything I can help you with?"

"Oh" he looked disappointed "I'm James, I go to college with Emma, and she left this at my flat after a party." He held up a sports bag "I was passing through the area so I thought I'd drop it off."

"You had better come in I'm sorry you've had a wasted trip but I can take it and give it too her" I beckoned James through to the kitchen. Once there I opened the bag on the kitchen table, it contained a set of what I assumed where her party clothes. A white silk semi transparent blouse, a light blue Lycra mini skirt, a matching set of white leaf patterned silk bra and panties and a pair of high-heeled sandals. "She must have looked good in these" I smiled.

"So would you" James grinned.

"Don't be silly, Emma is 21, I am 45 I could never carry an outfit like ...
