I met Stephen online a while back. Right from the beginning I felt like I had known him forever. We talked for a while before taking the next logical step....the phone. At first he was resistant to give me his phone number but I wore him down and he finally gave it to me. We would talk late at night after everyone had gone to bed. We took turns calling one another and after a few months he asked me for my address, he said he wanted to send me something. I was reluctant to give it to him, I mean you just never know who might show up at your door some day when your not expecting it. But after him begging for days on end I relented and gave it to him. He told me that he was sending me a necklace. At first I told him I told him I couldn't accept something like that. But he assured me that it wasn't expensive, in fact he said that he'd had it for years and wanted me to have it.

The day I got it I emailed him and told him I received it in the mail. As per instructed I hadn't yet put it on. He had wanted me to wait until that night when we were on the phone together and then put it on. Frankly I thought it was a bit odd, but I did as he wanted. I was sitting in my chair waiting by the phone for him to call me, staring at the necklace he had sent me. The green stone was set in a very intricate silver filigree design, it was hangning on a long silver chain. It was quite pretty. The phone rang and I picked it up. "Hello." I smiled knowing it was Stephen.
