NEW TENANT IN 8C

I'm Clay Morrison, a native New Yorker, 27years old, with a bachelor's degree in Journalism (and a minor in Creative Writing) that I got from Columbia five years ago. Until two years ago, I had lived with my parents in their apartment a block west of Central Part West on the upper West Side. By then my career as a free-lance writer had progressed to the point that I thought it possible to move into my own place, although I still maintained frequent contact with the folks. I had told them many years ago that I was gay, so the air was clear on that subject. My folks are modern enough that they could accept my statement although the idea of there never being any grandchildren for them to love and spoil was more than a little difficult. They are both now retired (I was an "afterthought" baby and wasn't born until my mother was in her 40's) and were looking forward to the next generation of Morrisons.

My apartment is on the 16th floor (16A) of a high rise just a half block east of Central Park East almost due east of where my parents live. There are no buildings taller than 10 stories between my building and Central Park. That, plus the fact that I have the front west side apartment in the building, means that my corner balcony has a clear view of not only Central Park, but also mid-town Manhattan. Both of which offer great views.
