.....We had planned to both take the day off work and spend Shelly's birthday together. Well as usual it was a rainy April day and was wondering what we could do, when at about 8am the phone rang. Shelly answered it, she had been called into work, the computers had gone down and she was the only one who could get the systems running properly. She left, wrapped up tight in a long winter coat, while I was in the living room listening to the radio, just in my silk boxers and my soft white, cabled angora sweater (to keep warm. It was about eight thirty, when there was a knock on the door. I wasn't expecting anyone, so peered through the spy hole to see who was there. Well, I couldn't make out who it was, but could see they were drenched and holding a bag over their head, trying to keep dry. I presumed it was a delivery, so opened the door slightly to receive the package, but to my amassment the person pushed open the door and entered. Stunned by the forceful entry into my home, I screamed at them, "What the hell do you think you are doing?"

A meek voice replied, "I'm sorry, but I was getting soaked out there." Removing the bag and lifting her head up, I recognised her, it was Andrea, Shelly's friend. ...
