Chapter One:

Alex dropped his gym back on the bench and sat down heavily next to it, just sitting for a good few minutes. God what a night... He absently heard the water in the showers of the P.D.'s locker room, could hear his partner Rick groan as he got into the hot water. Yeah, a hot shower did sound good... In a minute though.

He wondered if there had been a full moon tonight. Almost whimsically he decided to ask at the duty guard's desk on the way out. Coincidence or not, he wouldn't be surprised to find out there was. All the nutcases came out of the woodwork on full moons... and it was a Friday night too, which sure as hell didn't help any. They'd had six drunk and disorderlies tonight, a domestic dispute (which ironically was called in by the husband, who it turned out was being assaulted by his very small in stature, but welter weight hitting wife). Alex rubbed his shoulder where the bitch had gotten him with a sauce pan. They'd also gotten the call for a break in. It had been at a pharmacy, so they'd been expecting a hopped up drug addict. Instead they'd found three teenagers looting condoms and lubes. He snickered under his breath as he stood and started to strip out of his uniform. The kids had tried to save their asses by arguing that they were simply promoting safe sexual practices even though they were still stammering and staring bug-eyed ...
