"Dammit, Aaron!" I slammed my hand on the metal filing cabinet for effect, the sound reverberating through my studio, even though the noise probably wouldn't transfer over the phone. "I need those backdrops by Friday, and if I don't get them, the shoot's going to have to be postponed again, and you know there's a deadline." Ah, another lovely, relaxing day in the life of a photographer. My mother was right, I should have gone to law school.

Holding the cordless phone between my shoulder and ear, I bent down to rummage through a drawer for a stack of color filters I'd managed to misplace that morning. I felt a little guilty about yelling at Aaron, who would probably come through for me in the end, as he had many times before, but it was shaping up to be one of those days, and to top it off, I was awaiting a very special visitor that afternoon, in about half an hour.

It was only a few days ago that I'd done the CD cover shoot - and the possessor of the voice on the upcoming CD. We'd gone to a scenic location to do it, and I'd accepted a ride back to the city in his limo. Between that moment and the moment I'd stepped out of the limo next to my building, still adjusting my clothes, my subject and I had gotten to know each other very well indeed.
