Katherine, Michael and Me

This is part true and part fantasy.

Michael was my best friend, we'd known each other since we were 11. His family moved away when he was 12, but he hated it so much he moved back to live with his Gran. She always spent the evening down stairs and was slightly deaf. He had his own room and access to a spare bedroom.

Katherine joined the school later than most when she moved to the area. When she joined she had short boyish hair and was a bit of a tomboy.
