The Little Black Dress by Donna Lynn

I walked into the elegant lobby of the hotel, admiring the décor with a quick glance. Walking directly to the lobby elevators, I pushed the UP button and waited as the numbers slowly counted down to the little L on the panel over the doors. After what seemed an eternity, the elevator arrived. I stepped in, and pushed the button for the twenty-first floor. I was alone in the elevator this time of day. The hotel check-out time had come and gone, lunch time was over, and there was a lull in activity before people began wandering in for the early afternoon check-in.

As I stepped off the elevator at the appropriate floor, I glanced around quickly to get my bearings, and turned right, looking for Room Seventeen. Finding it, I paused outside. I took a moment to check my clothes, making sure I looked ok. I wore a little black dress, with a flirty skirt, perfect for dancing. Underneath I wore a black lace push-up bra, black lacey panties, and thigh high hose with my black patent leather pumps. My boyfriend, David, lived in Northern Pennsylvania, and drove down to Maryland frequently for business. When he had called me earlier in the day to let me know he was coming into town, he told me he was taking me to dinner and then out for the evening, and had asked me to dress up a little. It must be a special place we were going that night.
