Work was hectic yet again. The only thing Marissa had to look forward to was her daily phone call with Mitch. The invoices from his manufacturing company didn't seem to match up with the statements she had, or the invoices didn't match the goods supplied. It was frustrating work but Mitch made it worthwhile.

She looked forward to hearing his voice. At first she and Mitch only talked about the invoices and how to rectify future problems but there always seemed to be a branch in his company who just didn't follow protocol. But soon the conversation turned from work to personal. She loved the way he somehow always made her laugh. It only took a few short months of flirtatious chatting over the phone before she began to fantasise about meeting him in person, wondering what he looked like. She began to feel attracted to his voice. She wondered if he thought the same.

Marissa picked up the phone and dialled Mitch's direct line.

"Accounts, Brian speaking." was the reply when the phone was finally answered. It wasn't the voice she had been expecting.

"Hi Brian. Is Mitch there?" she asked, lining up the invoices she had queries over.
