Elena couldn’t sleep that whole night. It was morning, she knew, and she hadn’t even looked at her clock. What was going to happen today? It was day two and she was afraid that the Warden would go back on her promise and not give her that interview. After all, if he decided to do that, she couldn’t do anything about it at all.

Memories of what happened in his office came to mind. She felt the hint of desire coming back to her and her body flushed with heat. She took a deep breath and covered her arm over her face.
