Chapter thirteen -

A week after our Christmas party, we celebrated the dawn of the New Year, and several days into the New Year, I was having lunch with Rachel's brother, John, at a downtown LA restaurant. I had wanted to take him to lunch for several reasons, not the least of which was for finishing the auditorium 5 % under budget.
