The Liberation of Libby

January 2007. Only two hours after Libby's conversation with her Mother.

Libby sat in her car and admired David's yacht. It was so beautiful, so peaceful just to look at it. And right then it was difficult to look at anything through the tears she was shedding. Why, oh why, had she done it? Allowed her unhappiness to involve another?

It had been two hours since she had left her Mom's house after whining and spilling her guts like a disappointed child. Why couldn't she have just grinned and beared it, taking it as one of life's little bumps that one had to hurdle? Why lay it out for poor old Mom to have to deal with?
