Forever Friends.

Growing up the early 80's, my life revolved around three things. School, sex and fishing. School I actually enjoyed although until my final year I was a bit of a loner, well that was until Chris moved in across the road from me.

Chris's dad had moved half way across Scotland to take a better paid job, and being new in town, it was the great way to get a new friend. Admitted, because I was a straight A student, I didn't have many friends, and to a certain degree, I didn't like the smart ass guys that I shared classes with.

Although it also had another down side, because I wasn't popular with the guys, then I wasn't too popular with the girls either. Suddenly during the winter a removal van pulled up and turned my life around.

Within minutes of the van arriving, a car also arrived with Chris. Chris was a slightly chubby teen with a bad case of acne. Yet within an hour of talking to Chris, we had hit it off.

We weren't the only ones to hit it off, my parents and Chris's parents soon became the best of friends, within months we were spending a considerable amount of time in each others house.
