LAWNMOWER GUY

Ron rolled the lawnmower back into the garage, put his T-shirt back on, and opened the door into the kitchen just enough to shout, "Crystal? I'm finished."

He'd been mowing Crystal Sheilds's lawn over the summer, on break from college, because her husband was always out of town and didn't have time. Ron didn't mind. Crystal paid him fifty bucks every two weeks, and it gave him something to do. There weren't many people his age in the suburb his parents had moved to.

And he didn't mind having a chance to talk with Mrs. Sheilds a little either.
