A couple copes individually with the effects of a gift earned during an act of unselfish bravery and kindness in the strange and enchanted city they had come to explore as tourists.

For those of you who have not read Part 1, it is HIGHLY recommended you read it before continuing on. And for those who have, I suggest re-reading Part 1 anyhow to remind you of what has happened. It will DEFINITELY HELP you understand what is going on.

My thanks to all the readers that have supported me through my absence. Special thanks to David G and Joel T for reviewing and making suggestions, and Vicky for her patience and persistence while bearing with me during my sabbatical. The challenge of keeping the difference between bodies and minds has been very difficult - I hope that the efforts I have put in to make it less confusing, as well as tying the two story lines together have helped. I never realized how difficult writing this story could be! I have lost count of how many re-writes this has taken to bring to fruition over the last 18-24 months; hopefully I've smoothed out the edges enough so the sections from different months (or years!) appear seamless...
