Peggy walked in from the garage to find her mom in the kitchen.

"Hi sweet heart, supper's just about ready. How was your day?"

"Fine mom. Nothing special though." Peggy replied.

"Dinner in ten minutes, dear."

Peggy scooted up to her room to clean up for dinner.

Peggy's mom had always insisted that they eat together as a family whenever possible. Problem was, Peggy's mom was a terrible cook. A decent well-balanced meal always meant eating out. From time to time they'd hired cooks, but they never seemed to last. Tonight it was an egg concoction on tortillas.

At dinner her mother spoke first. "Dear, after your commencement ceremony Friday, your dad and I will need to leave again for a business meeting in Atlanta. We'll need to go directly from your school to the airport. I'm so sorry to do this again, but we really don't have any choice. I hope you understand?"

Peggy responded, "A business meeting on the weekend? What's up with that?"
