I breathed a bit more easily, as I sat down on the living room couch, and turned on the TV set. Everything that I needed to welcome Angela, my wife, was in position. The warm southern California sun was filtering through the drapes covering our house's windows, giving it a pleasant lighting.

It was the weekend, when I was able to take a bit of a break from my regular job. Still, I felt my beloved wife's absence, and I was eager to greet her upon return. Ordinarily, during the month, I was able to share my weekends with Angela. However, one weekend a month, she has to report to her Army Reserve unit, where she serves as a military nurse, with the rank of Captain. We have been married for seven years, and had one five-years-old son, whom I had dropped off at my parents' place for this weekend.
