Gerry was looking forward to the end of the day - hell, the end of the week. It hadn't been particularly hard, but it had been fast paced and grueling. It seemed each time he finished up one appointment, three more were waiting. It was now nearly eight o'clock on this Friday evening and this was it, his last appointment. As he raised his hand to knock on the door, he thought there had to be a better way for a twenty-two year old computer tech to make a living. He knocked and waited and finally heard an inner door open and a shadow crossed the side-pane window. The door opened.

"Mrs. Payne?" he inquired. "I'm Gerry. I'm here about your computer." He smiled as he handed her his card. He was expecting a blast from being so late, but instead she smiled and handed back his card and shook his hand warmly.

"Hello, Gerry." She smiled. "Thank you for taking the time to see me today. It's so late, I was expecting a call saying you wouldn't be here until tomorrow or Monday." She showed him in and closed the door. "Come in, young man. Would you care for something to eat? I was just going to make myself a sandwich."

"No thank you, Mrs. Payne, I'm good."
