Kristin 6- Final Chapter

She woke that morning with her head on my chest. I had been awake nearly an hour, wondering what we were going to do next. The room still smelled of stale sex and a few dried blood blots stained the sheet over us. I just felt her heart beating against my side and worried about what the future had in store for us. Certainly things would have to change between us, I figured. It was easy for me to continue on like this, but Kristin, being a female, would undoubtedly get too attached. I feared for my job, my reputation and for my happy life as a single male.
