"You don't remember me."

I gazed at the diminutive, elderly gentleman standing beside me. With his snow-white hair and ruddy complexion, he could have been anybody. One thing was for sure; I had no idea of who he was.

I'd noticed him a little earlier though; he looked at me with the quizzical expression one has when they are trying to place a face with a name. Apparently he'd figured it out because here he was, blocking my way as I tried to weave my stroller through the crowded corridor of the mall.

"Is this your daughter," he asked?

Now I was becoming concerned.

"I'm William," he announced. When there was no discernable recognition on my part, he added, "from the camera club? I saw you about a week ago when you worked with Mo."
