The man of my dreams was just that... a man I knew only when sleeping. I had been dreaming about him for years and would wake up with his name on my lips yet I could never remember it as my eyes opened and reality returned. I remembered the details of him, his tanned muscular body, he sea green eyes, his smile and the taste of his lips. The dreams always varied, I never met him in the same dream but the dream always ended the same... with him being injured. He always died in a horrible accident that stole him from me. I hated the dreams because I was alone at the end but at the same time I prayed I'd meet him again in the next dream. After 20 years of dreaming of this man you'd think I'd grow tired of the tragedy but I was addicted to them.. and to him.

Every dream was a new setting, a new meeting, a new love and a new loneliness. My real life wasn't much better, a few boyfriends here and there but nothing serious and nothing that lasted longer than a few years. The relationships usually started badly and ended worse. Imagine my surprise when I met my dream man... at a family reunion. ...
