"So mister Willard, why are you here?" Nick Brohammer was quite comfortable sitting in his plush easy chair some three feet behind his vast desk. Ben Lay had called him in advance and told him that this Willard fellow had something of great interest to show him.

His rasping snicker actually sent shivers up Brohammer's spine.

Brohammer was curious but long practice had taught him to proceed with caution. "So how did you acquire this sensitive material?"

"A reliable source, sir. I'm not at liberty to divulge the identity of my sources. However, there is no question that the persons involved in the very lurid interaction are verifiably genuine, including the senator, of course."
