As if I didn't have enough problems to worry about, what with someone at my high school posting lurid images of me on a social network, I've been stuck with detention duty, which is fine and all, but not with Nigel, a somewhat confused and troubled 18-year-old student, who, if I don't keep my mind on him, is prone to take over the class.

Having taken some of my students work along with me, to mark, I unlocked the classroom door. Ushering Nigel inside, I got him to sit down, someways back from the front, and then placed the work on what would be my desk for the next hour, before I turned to address the young man. "Okay, Nigel, who did you piss off this time?" I asked.

"Mr Jenkins," he impassively replied.

"I see, and he no doubt wouldn't afford you the same leniency as me, then," I rejoined.

"Well, then, young man, we're somewhat stuck with each other; you, to dwell on your whole attitude, while I mark some papers, okay." And having said my piece, I turned to the items in question and looked over them.
