Chapter one: on the bus

I was drunk. Not really drunk but I'd had enough beers that evening that I was relaxed and playful. I sat down on the bus and got out my phone.

"r u really going to take me to a strip club when i come to the u.s.?" I texted. In a few weeks I was going from Singapore to a conference in Washington and I planned to stop and visit Matt on the way. The reply came almost immediately. He was around.
