Libby is surprised to see there are three messages on the answering machine when she gets up the next morning. One is from David wanting to thank her for making his day. One was from her best friend wanting to get together; but the last one was from Paula Appington wanting to meet with her about a job. She remembered putting in a application with her for the job of her assistant, but did not think she would get it. After listening to the message she called the number that was left, and sat up a meeting.

Libby dressed with care, putting on a long skirt, and a blouse, flat shoes, and pulled her hair back into a ponytail. Paula Appington's office was in her house, she was a rich young widow, Libby had no idea what her job would consist of, or if she would even want the job. She had only applied when she was not getting any replies from any of the other applications.

Libby rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer, the house was huge, two story; at first glance she thought of a old plantation house. The person that answered the door was Paula herself, dressed in a robe, and looking very harassed. Paula motioned for her to fallow her and then turned to head down the hall.
